1. What We Do

Swing Lookalike ("we," "us," "our") is a free entertainment application that compares your baseball swing to those of famous baseball players. The service is operated independently and is not affiliated with MLB or any player.

2. Information We Collect

Video data: When you upload or record a swing video, we process it to extract body movement data (pose landmarks). The raw video is automatically deleted from our servers after processing is complete, and we do not use it for anything other than generating your swing result.

If you choose to let us keep it: there is an optional checkbox on the upload page, unchecked by default and for people 18 or older. If you tick it, we keep that video for 90 days to help improve the app and we may share it on our social accounts. It is deleted automatically after 90 days. If you do not tick it, nothing changes and your video is deleted after processing as described above. Your result is the same either way.

Swing analysis results: We store the numerical results of your swing analysis (trait measurements and match scores) so your result page remains accessible via its unique link. Results do not contain any personally identifiable information.

Phone number: If you choose to enter the daily giveaway, we collect your phone number to contact winners and to occasionally text you baseball finds from Swing Lookalike. We do not sell phone numbers to third parties. Message and data rates may apply. You can stop the messages at any time by replying STOP, or contact us and we will delete your number.

Automatically collected data: Like most websites, our hosting providers (Vercel, Google Cloud) may collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and access times. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

Where you came from: Some links to this site carry a short tag in the address, for example ?r=ig for our Instagram profile or a tag identifying the result someone shared with you. If a tag is present when you arrive we save it in your browser and attach it to your swing result, so we can tell which links actually bring people here. It records the link you followed, never who you are, and it is never shared or sold.

Stored in your browser: We keep a few small values in your browser's local storage: the tag above, whether you have already entered the giveaway, and your postseason pick if you made one. These stay on your device, are not cookies, and are not readable by anyone else. Clearing your site data removes them.

3. Children's Privacy

Swing Lookalike is a general-audience product. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. We do not require account creation, names, birthdays, or addresses, and swing videos are deleted immediately after processing unless you opt in to us keeping yours.

The giveaway is separate. Entry is limited to people 13 or older, and we ask you to confirm your age before you can enter. Entrants under 18 need a parent or guardian's permission, and if a winner is under 18 the prize is fulfilled through their parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect phone numbers from children under 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has entered or provided personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

4. How We Use Your Information

• To maintain and improve the service

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data with service providers (hosting, infrastructure) solely to operate the service.

6. Data Retention

• Videos: Deleted immediately after processing, unless you opt in to us keeping yours — then 90 days, deleted automatically
• Results: Retained for up to 90 days, then automatically deleted
• Phone numbers: Kept until you reply STOP or the giveaway program ends, whichever comes first — then deleted. You can ask us to delete yours sooner at any time

7. Your Rights

You may request deletion of any data associated with your use of the service. Contact us at the email below and we will respond within 30 days.
